Well, this is always a question, since we don't know what's included in the update, then who knows if you 'really need' what's in it. QuickBooks Pro 2017 can be used, but please be aware that there are some features discussed in the course that are not available in the Pro edition. There have been updates in the past in which Intuit used the same or similar language to prepare products for 'sunset' related limitations. The desktop version of QuickBooks Premier Edition 2017 is recommended for this course (not included in enrollment). If I had a guess to venture, this late in the life-cycle of the product, I would suspect that this has something to do with the approaching 'sunset' of QuickBooks 2017 desktop products on May 31, 2020. of Deposits and Checks that can be imported into a bank account in Quickbooks.
